Case:
The case is about a drug trafficking crime committed by a crime organisation. In
the border of Germany 185 kilo of heroin is captured in the container of a truck
used by a Turkish driver and Turkey originated. Polish officials interrogate the
suspected driver Mr. C and he states that Mr. A is owner of the drug and Mr. B
is related to the drug trafficking. He also claims that Mr. X is another partner
of the organisation. Turkish police officials apprehend Mr. A and Mr. B and find
further evidence in their premises and homes. The driver, Mr. C is transferred
to Turkey by German competent authorities.
Ankara Public Prosecution Office files a case against all suspected persons. The
case is handled by the Istanbul Aggravated Felony Court which is competent to
hear the crimes committed by a crime organisation according to Article 250-252
of the Code of Penal Procedure. The claimed crime is mainly related to the
Article 188 of the Turkish Penal Code providing measures against drug
trafficking; importing or exporting drugs, producing or selling them etc.
